Brett

Brett “Bort” Cullen is an indigenous man, a performer, an MC, and an academic, who lives and works on Noongar boodjar - Perth, Western Australia.  
Brett has been performing with powerhouse improv group The Big Hoo Haa for over 15 years, as well as in many and varied shows such as Bogan Bingo, Fringe-favourite Captain Spaceship, quiz show Good Question, kids improv show The Little Hoo Haa, and as regular Host at pop-culture convention Supanova Perth.
You may have also heard him on podcasts such as The Catch-Up Cinema Club, and Good Morning Mrs. Strawberry, or as writer and performer for training-company-with-a-twist Bullshift.

 

Brett has worked behind the camera as well, spending a decade in the film & TV industry on everything from music videos to feature films, and as a lecturer and academic manager in Games design, Animation and Film and Communications.

 

Brett continues to have his iron in many fires, his fingers in many pies, altogether too-many projects and hobbies, and an overall drive to do a bit of this and a bit of that.
Then when it’s all done, he says he’ll have a quiet lie down. Maybe.
