Ros Boyer

JETS Principal & Acting Teacher

BA in Communications, Theatre and Media Murdoch University. Dip Ed Drama and English ECU. Certificate IV In Disability. Project Manager for the GURD Theatre in Education Drug Awareness Project (affiliated with WA Police). Teacher and Mother!

Ros is constantly thriving to expand her knowledge of the dramatic art form and undertake many theatre workshops (acting and backstage). Ros has made many contacts in the industry, which extends the JETS network not just to nationally but to internationally as well. Ros was invited to the inaugural Kuala Lumpur International Comedy Festival to run Children's Comedy Workshops and to also manage the international Comedians. She was also part of the Festival that extended throughout Malaysia with the Laugh Malaysia tour.

JETS has been involved in Fringe World Perth for many years since 2015 with the first Youth Theatre Play "Mentatlity" and Self Scripted "Once Upon  A Fractured Fairytale" in 2020 aand 2021.  Ros has also produced many comedians at Fringe World and loves being a part of the Arts Scene in Perth.

Ros' focus is on student-centred learning and promoting a positive fun environment where everyone is treated equal and given a voice to be heard. Her dynamic classes give students a forum to express themselves whilst having fun in a non-threatening environment.

"My greatest reward as a teacher is student success and I still cry every time one of our students does something that I have helped them have the confidence to undertake. I always follow through with each student’s dreams and goals and hope I have helped make their wings strong enough to fly and to soar to greater heights."

Ros is truly excited to have such a fantastic team working with her. All staff promote a friendly family atmosphere at JETS and hold true to the fact that everyone will “Be Scene and Heard”!
